STEPHANIE SHELTON
LMSW, Psychotherapist and CEO & Founder of Naire’s House, a faith-based, grassroots, culturally sensitive alternative to traditional mental health services. I created Naire’s House to provide non-traditional therapies specifically for Black women in underserved communities. Where a woman’s strength and fragility can co exist.
The inequities and disparities in mental health care inspired me to start this organization in 2021, in honor of my daughter Naire, who was tragically murdered in 2019 by her live-in boyfriend.

Naire had a smile and presence that would light up a room. She treated everyone like a MVP, which was a reflection of God's love working through her pouring into others. People loved to hear her talk and laugh. Her voice was so distinctive, you couldn't help smiling inside and out. Naire loved God and He loved her right back - 1,000 fold. Friends and family when asked where they were going they would reply “Naire’s House”, gathering at her home for homecooked meals, to get their hair done or just to be in community and share healing stories and resources. "Naire's House" is her legacy.
